Benjamin McKendall, the photographer, produces abstract photos using colors and shapes which reflect the beauty and visual appeal of day to day world around us, rather than the sterotypical images we are generally exposed to when dealing with these unusual subjects.

Mural Series

From 1980 until the early 1990's, I made a series of mural images, larger-than-lifesize transformations of nature subjects, most of them 40" x 60", all from 35mm transparencies. They were exhibited throughout Silicon Valley, mostly at high-technology corporate centers Î H-P, IBM, 3 COM, Tandem, SVG, Anthem, et al, plus some college campuses. In 1994, as my work had become more figurative (and smaller), I donated the remaining works to non-profit locations.
